Hannah Stone is a researcher and writer focused on crime, violence, counternarcotics policy and human rights in Latin America.

About

She has worked on crime, violence, counternarcotics policy and human rights in Latin America for organizations including InSight Crime, Human Rights Watch and the Open Society Foundations, and has carried out field research in Colombia and Mexico.

 

 

Hannah holds a MSc in Political Theory from the London School of Economics and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, and is fluent in Spanish.

Her publications include “Colombia’s Black Web: Guerrilla Websites, Twitter Protests and the Cybercrime Challenge” (The Open Empowerment Initiative, forthcoming), as well as reporting and analysis from Latin America.
